Intensives

Accomplish in one or two sessions what would normally take months with traditional coaching. Let’s respect your time and get right to the point, hashing out the details of your current parenting journey, your sticking points, and leave with a concrete plan for you to then apply at home. Total support time may actually be less than traditional coaching by utilizing the intensive format.

Yeah, but what is

an intensive?

Instead of scheduling a typical 50-minute therapy or consultation appointment every week or biweekly, you’ll meet for longer sessions, up to 3 hours long. You might do this once, or on a semi-regular basis.

These longer appointments allow work to go deeper; they allow for a plan to be created and feedback to be given. They allow for you to travel this road with a 15-year veteran of the field - me! You’ll reduce a lot of the “catching up” that occurs in a typical 50-minute session, and get right to the point. Process is efficient and you get months work of work done in one appointment.

What can I expect from a parenting intensive?

  • We’ll talk abut your whole child, not just their behavior. I want you to enjoy your children again and to do that, we have to talk about who they really are.

  • A huge part of this process is touching base with yourself, and getting to know your own parenting triggers. Only then can you cope and support yourself, so you can then support your child.

  • We’ll talk about what has and hasn’t worked previously, what your biggest areas of dysfunction are currently, and develop a plan to work through them…together.

  • Once we develop a plan, we’ll be sure to look into what’s ahead for you and your child. We’ll dive into child development info and make sure you’re as prepared as you can be to tackle what is thrown your way down the road.

How do I know a parenting intensive is right for me?

You want efficient progress, but don’t have time for ongoing sessions.

You’re mentally ready to put in the work on yourself and your family.

You want access to a professional when you need them, not in scheduled weekly sessions.

You feel like you’ve tried lots but nothing seems to stick, and now you’re lost.
